Panasonic AS500B opinion about non-3D TV

The Panasonic AS500B is a FullHD LED TV 2014. This model does not incorporate 3D technology and is at the lowest step of Panasonic FullHD TVs. The Viera Connect SmartTV system is good, but has less content than Samsung or LG. This model doesn't include extras such as Touch Pad Controller, which makes navigating the Smart system. The picture quality is correct but we find lack of contrast and has 100Hz BLS as in almost all the models in this price range. The price is low to be a Panasonic TV. The inputlag, 33ms is right for gamers.

Conclusion (verdict):

Our opinion about the Panasonic AS500E is not good, the best thing taht we can say is that the design is beautiful, a item to consider but not the most important. The most important factor should be the image quality, and in this item where the Panasonic AS500E loses points, m for its lack of contrast. The Smart TV is fine, practical and nice design too. Although Panasonic offers a good price for this model we recommend other models without 3D like Sony W605B, with better contrast, especially if you are a movie lover or if you like to watch TV in the dark.
